Capcom announced two types of updates for Monster Hunter Wilds, with one being a confirmation that there will be a major DLC expansion and the other a 1st Anniversary Message about more immediate updates. The expansion, which will be as large as Iceborne and Sunbreak, is in development. We’ll learn more about it in Summer 2026. As for the updates, it involved new trailers and a roadmap of what to expect between February and March 2026.
With the roadmap, it starts with the 1.041 update on February 18, 2026. That’s when the Blossomdance Festival of Accord appears, Arch-tempered Arkveld will appear, 10-star Arch-tempered Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad will show up as event quests, and there will be an event quest to earn the Design Contest Great Sword and Pendant. The Monster Hunter Stories 3 crossover side mission will debut then too. The Special Supplies: Hunter Appreciation Pack will start to be doled out for the anniversary too.
A number of other “always available” event quests are coming. Here’s when they’ll show up.
- February 25, 2026: “Neon Neopterons.”
- February 28, 2026: “Razzle Dazzle Frazzle.”
- March 4, 2026: Unknown upcoming event quest.
- March 12, 2026: Unknown upcoming event quest.

In the case of the DLC, it came up at the end of the Monster 1st Anniversary Message from Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto. He noted, “We are currently at work on a large-scale expansion similar to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak for Monster Hunter Wilds. We plan to share more information with you this summer, so please look forward to it.” There are no hints about a subtitle or what sort of environments will be covered in it.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the expansion will be detailed in Summer 2026.
