Following the recent announcement of the release date for Monster Hunter Wilds on Switch 2, Capcom revealed that a Switch 2 console and game bundle will be available in Japan. However, this will only be for the domestic Japanese Switch 2 version and not the global multilingual console.
The Switch 2 Monster Hunter Wilds includes a digital downloadable version of the game, and it will cost 61,980 yen (or approximately $400). The bundle is expected to release on December 4, 2026, the same day that Monster Hunter Wilds will appear on the Switch 2. It’s important to note that this is not a special edition Switch 2, and the console included in the bundle is the normal neon blue and red joy-con edition.
The Japanese MH Wilds Switch 2console and game bundle is currently available for pre-order from the Capcom online storefront, the Nintendo Store website, as well as Amazon Japan. Capcom and Nintendo have yet to announce whether this bundle will appear outside of Japan or not.
There is also a themed Switch 2 bundle on the way that includes the first customized version of the system. That is a custom The Legend of Zelda model for the series’ 40th anniversary. It arrives in October 2026. That does not include any game with it, unlike this option. It does appear ahead of the November 2026 debut of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake.
Monster Hunter Wilds is currently available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Switch 2 version is coming out on December 4, 2026. The Ascendance expansion in development and is expected to appear in 2027.
