Monster Prom has one to four players vying for monstrous affections, joining a high school filled with creatures and trying to get one of them as a date for the prom.
On their turns, each player will have to make several decisions about how they want to act, and react, in the game’s 300 possible events. These can involve satanic rituals, sharing emojis, or teaching certain classmates the ways of Yaoi, ensuring each game has many absurd scenarios to play through.
The players’ decisions will also lead to multiple possible endings and courtships, and their actions can also screw over the other players in their planned partnerships. There are also further secret endings that will require bizarre series of events and other very specific actions, but will result in some completely ridiculous stories.
Many of the game’s events and actions reflect modern dating, letting players navigate monster-filled stories of dating sites, selfies, crowdfunding, raves, and sending dirty pictures over phones. It does so in a silly fashion, though, with the game constantly poking fun at itself.
Monster Prom is currently seeking funds through Kickstarter, as well as Greenlight votes, to get its creature-dating gameplay to the masses.
