A few characters from the Final Fantasy universe are taking a trip to the Mushroom Kingdom. Square Enix added Moogle, Ninja, Kuroma (black mage), Shiroma (white mage), and Cactaur to Mario Sports Mix. You may remember Mario Hoops 3-on-3 also had this group of characters and that’s because Square Enix is the developer of both games.
Like Mario and Luigi, Ninja has an all-round play style. Peach, Daisy, and Shiroma share the technique style. Cactaur, Moogle, and Kuroma have tricky as their play style.
Miis are also in the game and they have a super spike special attack in volleyball… which doesn’t seem like much compared to the Final Fantasy characters. Ninja can blink through enemies in basketball and slam dunk with a mirage shot. Kuroma fries other players with lightning bolts in hockey. Ouch.
Mario Sports Mix comes out on November 25 in Japan. Nintendo still has at least one more character to reveal.
