HoYoVerse used April Fools’ Day 2026 as an excuse to introduce more of the characters we will meet in Petit Planet, as well as possibly tease an announcement for an event or perhaps another beta test called “Reunite in the Starsea: Savor the Good Life.” The video appeared on the official social media account for the upcoming Animal Crossing-like game. It is set up as a news cast with a new NPC named Trixie reporting on current events. The actual announcement will apparently take place on April 2, 2026.
Following the reveal of Trixie, the video highlights another NPC. One of the people we’ll meet at the Galactic Bazaar multiplayer hub is Mr. Aleo. He is a rabbit-like individual. As part of that, we also got to see a potential neighbor and resident named Rebella, who looks like a wolf. Another reveal is of a possible restaurant we could visit called Cafe Untamed and its manager/barista. After that, a number of other neighbors and NPCs who can move to planets appeared, with Coziness Test beta familiar faces Mors and Esassani showing up in this teaser.

In the past, HoYoVerse used other holidays like Halloween to also introduce Petit Planet characters. That is how Esassani was first introduced, and other comics and shorts showed additional individuals from the upcoming game.
So far, there’s been one beta test for Petit Planet. That was a closed trial called the Coziness Test. It showed up in November 2025. It highlighted some of the tasks, introduced a multiplayer hub, and let us see exactly how this Animal Crossing-like game will work.
Petit Planet is in development for PCs and mobile devices, and no consoles have been confirmed yet.
