The SDCC Mortal Kombat 1 announcements revealed Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka for the main game and Homelander and Peacemaker as DLC.

Mortal Kombat 1 Gets Li Mei, Tanya, Peacemaker, Homelander

During the 2023 San Diego Comic Con, NetherRealm and Warner Bros announced a number of new Mortal Kombat 1 characters. Some are full characters. Others are Kameo Fighters. Not to mention six are Kombat Pack DLC folks. In total, Mortal Kombat 1 will get Baraka, Darrius, Goro, Li Mei, and Tanya in the main game, then Ermac, Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, Quan Chi, and Takeda Takahashi as DLC.

First, here’s the introduction to Mortal Kombat 1’s Umgadi, which starts with Li Mei. The video begins by showing the warrior priestess. She was the former leader of the group. After that, Tanya appears. She then fights Li Mei. After that, we see Tanya hiding Mileena’s “condition.” It’s then that we see Baraka, who is suffering from Tarkat. During the following gameplay footage, the Darrius and Goro Kameo Fighters show up.

Meanwhile, here’s the roster reveal trailer for the Mortal Kombat Ermac, Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, Quan Chi, and Takeda DLC. As a reminder, that pack will also feature Jean-Claude Van Damme as a skin for Johnny Cage and Ferra, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, and Tremor as Kameo Fighters.

One of the previous reveals showed that Smoke and Rain would both appear in the game. They showed up in the Lin Kuei trailer for Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat 1 will come to the PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X, and PC on September 19, 2023.
