So the Success livedoor anime games starring Kuwagata Tsunami and Yawaraka Sensha have another connection, both of them use colored blocks. Kuwagata Tsunami Kuttsuke! Tsunami Hako (pictured on the left) players have to align colored blocks with symbols on top of them to clear them.

Touch de Taikyaku Yawaraka Sensha (pictured on the right) has players “pop” rows of colored blocks. Power ups like huge tanks and tornados assist players as they race against the clock.

I imagine few people will be placing pre-orders for either of these now. The primary selling point for each game is the mascot characters. Slapped on or not, it’s still pretty interesting where Success got the license from. Idea Factory picked up the Frogman Show. Namco Bandai snaps up Game Center CX. Success grabs online anime characters. Telltale makes a Strongbad game and the Penny Arcade characters come to Xbox Live Arcade this week. Licensing is getting very interesting.
