The great bible for the Muv-Luv universe, Muv-Luv Alternative Codex will be released by aNCHOR via Steam on March 13, 2020. It is special, in that it’s not something that is being translated from Japanese into English. Instead, it was an unlocked stretch goal for Muv-Luv Alternative‘s localization Kickstarter.

Muv-Luv Alternative Codex is chock full of details and background information on the alternate universe that the latter games take place in, complete with new interviews with the staff behind the games. While the Codex has previously been released for players who supported a certain tier or above for the game’s Western localization, and later to all backers, it is finally releasing to the public. Players who purchase the Digital Codex via Steam will be able to view the entire library of data, which has been formatted into a PDF file.

Apart from the Codex’s release, it was also announced that with this release, which essentially completes everything promised by the Kickstarter, the publisher of the games and the Muv-Luv series have all changed hands to aNCHOR, rather than Sekai Project. aNCHOR is Muv-Luv series developer âge’s parent company, so essentially all this means is that they’re cutting out the middleman and handling things now that localization is fully complete.

You can find Muv-Luv Alternative Codex‘s Steam page here.
It will be released on March 13, 2020.
