Sega announced both paid and free Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 DLC that also acts as a tie-in to the Infinity Castle movie, and Muzan Kibutsuji will be a part of it. The big bad of the series will be added this week on September 18, 2025. Aniplex also confirmed via the Japanese PlayStation Blog that seven characters from the film will be added to the game. In the case of all of these new additions, they will be available to use in VS Mode.

Muzan Kibutsuji is the main antagonist in Demon Slayer and, since his release is coming up so quickly, there’s a trailer highlighting his gameplay in The Hinokami Chronicles 2. It doesn’t show a full match. Rather, there are clips of footage showing him in his three-piece suit and hat, and we get to see three of his attacks. In one, he’s used his claws to attack Tanjiro Kamado and leave red scratch marks embedded in the ground around him. In the other, he’s used his Biokinesis to transform his arm into a mass of muscle and flesh, capturing Tanjiro inside. The last move used seems to be his Black Blood Brambles attack.

Here’s how that looks:

The end of the video also showed the upcoming paid DLC characters based on Infinity Castle versions of characters. Seven are confirmed, though only images of Akaza, Doma, and Kaigaku appeared in the teaser image. The other four are alts of Tanjiro, Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, and Zenitsu Agatsuma with different appearances and movesets.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and Muzan Kibutsuji will be added as free DLC on September 18, 2025.
