Namco Bandai was just testing the waters with Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao. The publisher has bigger plans for stereoscopic 3D gaming since they licensed a stereoscopic gaming API from RealD. The kit includes tools for head tracking, automatic camera adjustments, and a system to create depth perception across the entire line of site.
“RealD has the world’s best 3D technology, as evident by their leading the current 3D movie revolution. We look forward to our developers leveraging RealD’s decades of 3D expertise and this breakthrough technology to deliver an unsurpassed and true-to-life 3D gaming experience,” said Shin Unozawa, President & Chief Executive Officer, at Namco Bandai Games.
Films like The Nightmare Before Christmas and the 3D re-release of Toy Story use RealD’s technology. Now, Namco Bandai has it. Dragon Ball Z: 3D anyone?
