Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX 3 Needs A Better "Adventure" Mode

This article is over 16 years old and may contain outdated information

The two player versus mode in Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX 3 is essentially the two character combat system Tomy will introduce in Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2. However, you won’t be getting an adventure mode which will be included in Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX 3.

You’re not missing out on much.

The “adventure mode” is really Naruto: Dynasty Warriors. At Tokyo Game Show two characters were selectable: post time skip Naruto and Sasuke. Actually, it doesn’t matter which character you play as since the gameplay comes down to shaking the remote to punch mostly docile ninja. Sasuke has his own set of katana combos which can be done by pressing the A button and his great fireball jutsu which can hit a group of ninja. Here’s the deal you don’t need to fight the ninjas. You can just dash towards the goal marked on the map and win the level. You’ll get a lower score, but I found running to the end of the maze more entertaining than endlessly shaking the remote to keep beating up the rogue ninja that kept appearing.

Good thing the fighting mode is still solid and the final version will have 35 characters to play as including newcomers Hidan and Kakuzu.
