The first trailer showed a number of familiar faces throughout the Naruto storyline. Returning characters all returned to fight, with important moments from the Naruto Shippuden storyline coming up throughout. At the end of the trailer, it also noted new ninjas will appear. The description for the trailer also noted that over 124 playable characters will appear.

We already had some idea this was coming. In Europe, Bandai Namco trademarked “Ultimate Ninja Storm Connection back in November 2022.

The Ultimate Ninja Storm series first started out in 2008 on the PS3. CyberConnect2’s always handled the series. The most recent entry was Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, which showed up in 2016 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Each one features lots of allies and enemies, with both campaigns that recreate important parts from the show as well as versus modes that grant the ability to fight other players.

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections will appear on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC in 2023.
