Speaking of Cave, we are going to see a game from them this year in English. Natsume picked up the rights to Ohimesama Debut, which will be literally translated into Princess Debut when it comes out this fall. The Nintendo DS game is a mix of a visual novel and Elite Beat Agent for the dancing sequences. Woo princes, collect costumes, and discover one of the 14 endings. Alright, Princess Debut isn’t on the top of the Cave localization list. I doubt Yanya Caballista: City Skater was either, but Princess Debut shows at least Cave is getting courted by other companies.
Princess Debut also demonstrates how Natsume is expanding outside of Harvest Moon. Since Marvelous is making a move into North America inevitably the Harvest Moon games will be taken care of internally at Marvelous USA. Natsume’s other non-farming game has to do with Hamtaro, which was published by Marvelous in Japan.
