New information on Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists was revealed today, including a story premise, as well as how exploration in the game in handled. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
It is said that this tiny village in the middle of nowhere houses the treasure left behind by the Sage of Granzweit – the Granzweit Tree.
Nelke von Lestamm is a young noblewoman who is fascinated by the legends of the Sage who used the Tree’s mysterious powers to save others. She is put in charge of developing the village as its governor, and decides to search for the Granzweit Tree in the process.
For someone like Nelke who doesn’t know how to use alchemy, it would have normally taken a much longer time to develop the village. However, many “Legendary Alchemists” from various worlds start to arrive at the village, and village development is kicked into high gear.
This is a new Atelier story, about a girl who can’t use alchemy, and the legendary alchemists she works with in order to make the land prosper.
Exploration is done by forming a party of up to five characters, and searching areas near the village. During explorations, events such as ingredient gathering, and battles, will occur.
While you’re exploring, your characters will automatically walk forward, and gather ingredients together. When you get into a battle, every exploration member will help out as well.
During battles, players can use skills that each character has, such as attacks, healing, and buffing skills. Forge your path through the unknown land with the Legendary Alchemists!
Work together and achieve your tasks!
As the governor, Nelke’s mission is to turn Westwald from a tiny village into a prosperous city. In order to make sure that Nelke is on the right track, as she is new to the job, various tasks will be given for her to achieve, such as increasing the number of residents to at least 500 people. By achieving these tasks, players can develop the village further and advance the story.
By increasing the scale of the town, Nelke will be able to build an even bigger variety of structures, as well as upgraded versions of previous buildings. You can employ Fairies in upgraded buildings, which might increase how much you earn as well.
