NES Classic Edition Will Return To Stores In 2018, Increase In Production For Super NES Classic

Due to the high demand of the Super NES Classic Edition, Nintendo announced in a press release today that its production will continue through next year after originally announcing that its shipments would cease at the end of this calendar year.

 

In addition, more units of the Super NES Classic Edition will ship out on its September 29 release date in the United States than were shipped of the NES Classic Edition all last year, with subsequent shipments arriving in stores regularly.

 

As for the NES Classic Edition, it’ll return next summer with new shipments, more information on the return of the NES Classic Edition will be announced in the future. The Japanese Mini Famicom will also be produced again in 2018.

 

The Super NES Classic Edition releases in North America on September 29, 2017. The Nintendo Classic Mini Sumer Famicom releases in Japan on October 5, and pre-orders will begin for it on September 16.
