Netpunia V Adds Hyper Combo Meter… Weapon Transforming Girls?

New details about Neptunia V are out from Dengeki PlayStation leaks and the first bit is about Histoire, the fairy that knows all about the world of Gamindustri. She’s in Netpunia V in a 1989 form along with Kurorie, another fairy who looks like Histoire’s counterpart. While Histoire wears a white dress, Kurorie has a black costume (kuro means black in Japanese).

Compile Heart is once again changing Neptunia V’s battle system with two new additions. The Exec Drive system is essentially a hyper combo meter. This gauge fills up when your characters take damage or when you do combo skills. Players can charge up to four levels of Exec Drive energy, which you can use for special attacks called EX finishers.

Another new detail that is unconfirmed, but pretty interesting is the "final hardware form" system. Online forums explain each goddess has a final transformation where they morph into a weapon Neptunia can use. Goddess turn into different weapons so Neptunia, potentially, has an arsenal of goddess gear.

Neptunia V comes out on August 30 for PlayStation 3 in Japan.
