New Culdcept Is Based Off Sega Published PS2 Culdcept

Nintendo is working with Omiya Soft on a Nintendo 3DS version of Culdcept. The core game is kind of like Monopoly, but instead of buying land you defend it by summoning monsters using cards. Namco Bandai brought Culdcept Saga to North America, which has a fantasy-fi visual style.

Culdcept for Nintendo 3DS uses the game balance from Culdcept II: Second Expansion as its base. Sega published this game back in 2002 for the PlayStation 2. Famitsu also explains Culdcept (3DS) will have completely revised graphics and additional cards with new abilities.

Culdcept is slated for release on June 28.
