The Danganronpa 2×2 Slayhem Mode adds a whole new storyline with different events and a new character who turns out to be named Sakutaro Higashi. Spike Chunsoft revealed details about the newcomer in English and Japanese, including his voice actor. It also again teased the Tropical Vacation collector’s edition available at places like Amazon for $139.99.
In Slayhem Mode, the new character Sakutaro Higashi joins Danganronpa 2×2 and tries to apparently halt Monokuma’s killing game class trials. In Japanese, he’s played by Natsuki Hanae. Hanae played the protagonist in Metaphor: ReFantazio, 9S in NieR: Automata, and Ken “Okarun” Takakura in Dan Da Dan most recently. The English voice actor is Grivvin Burns, who’s recently played Joe in FFVII Rebirth, Cyril in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, andMuichiro Tokito in Demon Slayer.

As for the Danganronpa 2×2 Tropical Vacation collector’s edition, that starts with a copy of the game. (On Switch 2, it is a game-key card.) Monokuma and Monomi Kid Robot figures are included, as is a reversible RSULTS hat and the soundtrack CD.

Danganronpa 2 x 2 will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on January 14, 2027. The original game appeared on the PSP in Japan, then the Switch, PS4, Vita, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices worldwide.
