New details on Fullmetal Alchemist the movie

Now that the series has had a full run on adult swim, Funimation is planning to release the Fullmetal Alchemist movie on September 26, 2006 for North America. Two years after the events in the series Edward Elric has lost the ability to use alchemy and must find a new way to return home to Alphonse. He spends his days studying rocketry and engineering with a young man who reminds him of his brother. Meanwhile Edward discovers a new threat that jeopardizes both worlds. The movie is going to be released in two versions, a regular edition retailing for $29.99 and a limited edition release for $49.99. For the extra $20 you get a 64 page book, ten portrait cards and a bonus DVD with commentary from the Japanese staff and the US staff.
