Marvelous AQL started the new year by presenting us with the latest entries of their popular female shinobi series, with Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine shares a few more details on the upcoming 3DS game, alongside screenshots.

The above is a look at the two new characters who’ll be appearing in Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, with Kagura on the left and Naraku to the right. The game will be set in Kyoto, and will also have a tag-team feature, where players will get to switch between two characters in the midst of action.

The screenshot above depicts what looks to be a boss fight. Boss fights in Senran Kagura 2 take place on a 3D field now. For a closer look at the game’s action, you can check out its video footage from Marvelous AQL’s NicoNico Live stream.
