imageThese days, Jump seems to get all of the Final Fantasy scoops even before Famitsu. The Final Fantasy franchise is huge now, but while it was growing Squaresoft’s crown jewel didn’t get royal treatment Jump.

Final Fantasy creator and Mistwalker head Hironobu Sakaguchi reminisced about bringing Final Fantasy 1 – 3 to Jump to get Squaresoft’s games featured. After gathering all of the editors for a demo play they would say "Oh! New Dragon Quest?" while Sakaguchi clenched his teeth.

 

Now, Sakaguchi’s energy quietly burns since his heart has a high boiling point.
