Nintendo announced a new Fire Emblem game called Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave for the Switch 2, and it seems to be tied to Three Houses since Sothis appeared at the end of the reveal. It will debut in 2026, though the September 2025 Nintendo Direct didn’t state an exact release date for the new entry in the series.
This new Fire Emblem game seems to be set in Almyra, which we first learned about in Three Houses and was the home of characters like Claude and Cyril. Neither of them appear, though Sothis did at the end. It seems the new character is a young man named Cai, who wishes to compete in the “Heroic Games” to save his father’s life. We see him as a rider using a spear in battle. Other named characters who show up as possible allies in battles are Theodora, Dietrich, and Leda. The Divine Sovereign promises to grant people who win “whatever they desire.”
The full September 2025 Nintendo Direct can be seen below, and the new Fire Emblem Switch 2 game appeared at the end.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will come to the Switch 2 in 2026, and the original Fire Emblem: Three Houses game is available on the Switch now.
