Takara Tomy announced its next Pokemon gacha toy line, and it involves figures of four characters playing and hiding in boxes heading to capsule machines. They’ll debut in Japan in May 2026. Each try will cost 300円 (~$2). Since these are Takara Tomy items and not tied to the Bandai Namco Gashapon line, we probably won’t see them in capsule machines worldwide. However, sometimes these types of items do appear in the Takara Tomy category on Amazon or at storefronts like Simply Toyz.
There are four characters in this set, and each one comes with a box. There is Eevee, Gimmighoul in the character’s Roaming Form, Minccino, and Totodile. The photos show how each one could be displayed. For example, the recommended options for Eevee, Gimmighoul, and Minccino involve them sitting inside the boxes, while Totodile is in a pose that allows someone to place the box on top of them as though they are sneaking around. In every case, the Pokemon toy could be displayed with or without their box. Also, each box features a different design on it.
Here’s the official image showing all four of the Pokemon figures in this capsule machine figure line with their boxes.

Prior to this, one of the last Pokemon capsule toy collections in Japan involved Bandai Namco releasing keychains of all starter trios in honor of the series’ 30th anniversary.
Takara Tomy will release the Pokemon gacha toys of characters hiding and playing in boxes in Japan in May 2026. It’s unknown if and when we might see them worldwide. The most recent games in the series are Pokemon Champions on the Switch and Pokemon Pokopia on the Switch 2. We’ll also see Pokemon Champions on Android and iOS mobile devices later in 2026.
