New Japanese-style Sonic the Hedgehog Merchandise Will Appear

Sega revealed a new set of Japanese-style Sonic the Hedgehog merchandise, and pre-orders for the items are immediately available at Sega Store on the ebten website. Once the items are officially released in mid-December 2023, Sega will also sell the items physically at Tokyo Joypolis and the Edion store located near the Western exit of Yokohama station.

Sega also confirmed that people residing outside Japan can place orders for the merchandise as well. All items in the lineup are compatible with the WorldShopping widget, which handles international shipping.

Here is the full list of merchandise with their tax-inclusive prices in Japanese yen:

  • T-shirt (M/L/XL size): Â¥3,900
  • Tote bag: Â¥2,400
  • Folding fan: Â¥2,200
  • Japanese teacup: Â¥1,800
  • Tatami coaster mat: Â¥800
  • Hand towel: Â¥2,200

The merchandise collection that puts Sonic the Hedgehog on traditional Japanese illustrations has been appearing since as early as 2015. Sega also occasionally features the lineup at its merchandise store in the annual Tokyo Game Show, although it did not appear in the 2023 edition.

Sega will release the new Japanese-style Sonic the Hedgehog merchandise in mid-December 2023.
