During the September 2026 State of Play, Konami announced a new action-RPG called Rhapsody in Scarlet. A first trailer appeared during the first part of the showcase, and more details were promised for the following Japan segment. It’s possible we could see it at the Press Start presentation as well.
At the moment, we really only have the firsttrailer for the Konami action-RPG. It notes that the game is set in the 1920s. We follow a young woman in New York. She seems to be both a singer and a warrior, as we see her performing on stage before heading out in the city to fight alongside an otherworldly beast she referred to as Skoll.

Konami hasn’t updated its Tokyo Game Show 2026 site yet. However, it will have a major booth at the event. It’s possible we could see this new game alongside titles like Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Silent Hill: Townfall, and Suikoden Star Leap.
This marks two RPGs from Konami in development for the PS5. The other is Rev.Noir. That’s also currently in development, with more details promised during Press Start at 8am PT/11am ET on September 3, 2026.
Rhapsody in Scarlet is in development for the PS5 game, and there’s no release window for the Konami action-RPG yet.
