As part of the entirely new September 2026 Nintendo Direct reveals, Marvelous shared the JRPG Eternal Anima. While this announcement was new to us, the title is actually a familiar one. It is the culmination of Project Life is RPG, which first came up at the Marvelous Game Showcase in 2023. We’ll see it on March 4, 2027. It is going to appear on the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and there will be PS5 and Switch 2 limited edition releases.
In the Marvelous JRPG, we follow a time traveler named Wade. He can use Psychometry to look at memories tied to objects, then use that to help change the past and present. It also affects what classes and skills he’ll be able to use. His Future Sight ability will also let him affect battle outcomes by seeing what enemies would do and reacting before they do it.
Here is the first trailer for the JRPG Eternal Anima.
As for the limited edition, it consists of a few extras alongside physical copies of the game. There will be an art book, two-CD soundtrack, and nine art cards that can be displayed with an acrylic stand.
Here’s how that bundle will look:

Eternal Anima will come to the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 4, 2027.
