Sony announced a new PlayStation Vita model scheduled to come out on October 10. The new model is 20% thinner, 15% lighter and has 1GB of memory built in. The updated PS Vita model has one more hour of battery life for a total of 6 hours. You can charge the new Vita using micro USB.

 

The updated PlayStation Vita will cost 18,980 yen in Japan.
