There’ll be a new way to represent a love of Pokemon Plamo model kits, as Bandai Namco announced miniature replicas of six existing designs will be available as keychains. These will be available in its Gashapon capsule machines. They’ll launch in Japan in May 2026, and we don’t know when we might see them worldwide. In Japan, it will cost 400円 (~$2.50) for one random try. We could also see them via places like Amazon and SimplyToyz eventually.
Each of these items is designed to look like a completed Pokemon Plamo figure is inside of a blister pack, so we don’t see any model kit runners. The back of the package does show some of the instructions and references, showing how someone snaps the pieces out of the sprue cards, assembling them, and getting a finished toy. These appear to all be based on the Quick series sets. Those are smaller, more affordable sets that are easier to assemble and feature no articulation or additional parts. The ones represented are Pikachu (#1), Mew (#2), Eevee (#4), Charmander (#11), Bulbasaur (#13), and Squirtle (#17). This means the series isn’t going in order of the model kits’ releases and instead prioritized Kanto starters, as the actual release schedule had characters like Scorbunny and Piplup appear ahead of them.
Here are the official photos of the items.

This follows another line of keychains from the company. It announced a line of fire-type ones. That featured both base versions of characters like Fennekin, evolutions like Charizard, and the Mythic Victini.
The Pokemon Plamo model kits keychains will be in Japanese Gachapon capsule machines in May 2026, and we will likely see them worldwide after. The Bandai Namco model kits are sold worldwide.
