Sony released PSP firmware version 3.70 with a handful of new features:
– You can play music files while viewing photos
– Movies have support for sequential playback
– A new feature allows you to search through movie scenes
– Users can create and display custom themes
– Players can map buttons for PS3 remote play
The last feature is a brilliant addition, which gives remote play flexibility. Even if the visuals come out at lower resolution, playing a Playstation 3 game on the road is a neat feature. Perhaps some developers will be inspired to make a separate part of the game that you can only connect to through remote play. Something that compliments the game like the Chocobo mini game Squaresoft designed for the Pocketstation.
