Shueisha launched its next Shonen Jump manga series called Hal Formula, and it is a World Formula 1 (WF1) racing series about an up and coming driver. It’s written by Kento Terasaka, who previously worked on Beast Children and Green Green Greens. It is available to read via Manga Plus and Viz Media. It will appear on a weekly basis, so chapter two will launch on June 21, 2026.

Hal Formula follows Miharu Suzukaze. He’s a young WF4 racer with Adler Lights Racing who is also raising his younger brother Haruka. However, while he does have a place on a team, things aren’t going as expected and he hasn’t been winning. The first chapter follows more of his early races while also focusing on his relationship with Haru.

To coincide with the launch, there’s also an official trailer for the series going over some major events from the first chapter.

Manga series come and go frequently in Shonen Jump and Shuiesha’s other tie-ins for the brand. For example, in May 2026 we saw the series Alien Headbutt end. And before that, we saw the one-shot Hitoner turn into a full series.

Chapter one of the new Shonen Jump manga Hal Formula is available worldwide now, and the second chapter in the series will debut globally on June 21, 2026.
