New SMT V: Vengeance Demon Videos Include Nyami Nyami, Cleopatra

Atlus introduced even more new demons appearing in the upcoming SMT V: Vengeance, including the never-before-seen Nyami Nyami and previous SMT V DLC demon Cleopatra. Nyami Nyami, alongside Anansi and Onyankopon, was revealed as one of the three new African demons making their debut in SMT V: Vengeance.

Nyami Nyami is a new demon belonging to the Dragon race. He is the Zambezi River God of the Tonga and Lozi people in southern Africa. With the body of a snake and the head of a fish or a dragon, Nyami Nyami protects people living near bodies of water.

Vritra is a demon also belonging to the Dragon race, and it made its first 3D appearance in the recent Soul Hackers 2. Vritra is a dragon or snake hailing from Hindu myth. After being defeated by Indra, God of Thunder, rain returned to the world. However, it is said that Vritra always returns the next year, with the battle continuing for eternity.

Cleopatra was one of the DLC demons in the original SMT V, and she belongs to the Femme race. A legendary Egyptian Pharaoh, her name means “glory to the father” in Greek. Known for her unparalleled beauty, she was also highly skilled in the musical arts and in conversation.

Gogmagog, of the Jirae race, makes his debut as a fully 3D-modeled demon in SMT V: Vengeance. A giant said to have lived in Britain during prehistoric times, Gogmagog’s body was so massive that he could destroy a sailing ship with his arm. While he defended the island from any invaders, he was eventually defeated by Brutus of Troy.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on June 14, 2024. The original SMT V appeared exclusively for the Switch, and it will be delisted on the same day.
