New Stranger of Paradise Basic Jobs and Characters Shared

Sophia isn’t the only new Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin new reveal, as Square Enix brought up details about three of its basic jobs and two other new characters. It explained a bit about how the job system and its different levels work. It also showed off King Astos and Tiamat.

First, the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin jobs appear at different tiers. The two brought up are basic jobs and advanced jobs. A third tier was also hinted at. Some of the basic jobs are Swordsman, Pugilist, and Mage. Swordsman involves using a greatsword, and Jack starts at it. Pugilists fight with fists. Mages use magic. The Job Points you earn by fighting can be applied to each one’s skill tree. As you do, you learn more abilities. For example, the Mage screenshot showed the Tidal Tremor spell.

Here are some screenshots looking at them.

While Square Enix only mentioned those two, a screenshot hinted at more. In the image showing the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin jobs battle settings, the Swordfighter, Ronin, Marauder, Duelist, Lancer, and Black Mage jobs also appeared.

As for the two other new Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin characters, Astos and Tiamat appeared alongside Sophia. Astos is the Western Keep’s dark elf king. Todd Haberkorn plays him in English. In Japanese, Yoji Ueda handles him. He knows about Jack and his allies and the crystals and is someone the party will consult.

Tiamat is the Fiend of Wind the party will face. Square Enix revealed two of its attacks. Both Tempest and Whirlwind could come up during a battle against it.
