Bandai Namco announced its first Banpresto Chibigurumi prize plush collection of Umamusume: Pretty Derby characters, and volume 1 will include notable Trainees like Special Week and Kitasan Black. These Banpresto items will appear in Japan in February 2026. There’s no worldwide launch window for them yet, but the Chibigurumi plush often appear on the Amazon Banpresto storefront after launch.

Since the Banpresto Chibigurumi Umamusume: Pretty Derby volume 1 collection covers characters released in the Japanese version of the game, there will be quite a few unfamiliar faces to those playing it worldwide. Special Week is available as a Trainee and on Support Cards everywhere. Kitasan Black is only available as an SSR Speed card at the moment in the global version, though she’s been a Trainee in the Japanese version since February 2022. (That Support Card is renowned for its Professor of Curvature skill and hints for Corner Adept and Corner Recovery.) The other two Trainee characters to appear in the collection are Narita Top Road, who debuted in Japan in August 2023, and the February 2025 racer Orfevre. The final member of the collection is Almond Eye, who has only appeared in the Japanese version of the game as R and SSR Speed Support Cards so far.

Here’s the initial photo showing all of the characters. Each one is about four inches tall (11cm). Special Week, Kitasan Black, and Narita Top Road are the three Umamusume: Pretty Derby plush in the top row. Orfevre and Almond Eye are the two in the bottom.

Even with the accelerated schedule, it will likely be some time before we see Kitasan Black in the global version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The most recent releases in the worldwide version were the Halloween alts for Rice Shower and Super Creek, which debuted in September 2021 in Japan. Given the November 2025 banners also included a Matikanefukukitaru alt, Hishi Akebono, Agnes Digital, and that event banner, we’ll likely see the banners for Kawakami Princess, Manhattan Cafe, Tosen Jordan, and the New Year’s festival alts for Gold City and Symboli Rudolf in December 2025.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is available for the PC and mobile devices worldwide, and volume 1 of the Banpresto Chibigurumi plush based on its characters will appear in Japan in February 2026.
