The latest showcase trailer for Wuthering Waves provided more details about Jiyan. It features details on how he will fight and hints at story elements surrounding him.
In the trailer, Jiyan is shown to wield two weapons in Wuthering Waves. The first of these is a blade, which he uses to cut through enemies and perform fast attacks. The second is a lance, which also summons a dragon to fight alongside him. This appears to be especially useful when fighting groups of enemies.
The trailer also featured some more details on Jiyan and his story. While we have previously learned that Jiyan is the leader of the Jinzhou Midnight Rangers, his trailer shows a troubled past within this role. After being taunted by another character, Geshu, about his failures as both a doctor and a general, Jiyan sees flashbacks of his troops. However, the trailer also suggests that he draws strength from the support of his troops.

Jiyan is voiced by Alex Jordan in English, and developers Kuro Games had previously shared clips of him discussing the character. The latest voice actor showcase released by the developer focuses on the Rover avatar character, with both the male and female voice actors getting their own showcases.
Wuthering Waves will launch on PC and mobile devices on May 22, 2024.
