Xenoblade Genesis is a new game in the JRPG series coming exclusively to Switch 2 in 2027. The announcement appeared during the recent June 2026 Nintendo Direct showcasing new titles appearing for Nintendo consoles.
The world of Xenoblade Genesis is composed of Anima, the force that makes out everything in the world and brings life to it. The trailer showcased a few of the main characters, who are enrolled at an academy called Leukos. In Leukos, people train and hone their abilities to become Vesselai, warriors that can wield the power of Anima.
In typical Xenoblade fashion, this entry showcases the series’ typical wide fields and scenic vistas, with its world being bathed by the light of six suns, and the surface of the land curved inwards. The trailer teases the plot of the game to be about “the vengeance of a fallen god that had yet to be fulfilled.”
