Next BioShock Game in Development at 2K’s Cloud Chamber

A new BioShock game has announced. 2K has revealed Cloud Chamber, a studio with offices in San Francisco, California and Montreal, Quebec, will be working on the next BioShock game.

Few things are known about this potential BioShock 4. According to the press release, it ā€œwill be in development for the next several years.ā€ It will also still be a first-person shooter. 2K President David Ismailer also suggested it will be a story-focused title when discussing the founding of the new studio and its work on the project.

Kelley Gilmore, who has worked on 2K games like XCOM: Enemy Unknown, XCOM: Enemy Within, XCOM 2, Sid Meierā€™s Civilization VI, and Sid Meierā€™s Civilization: Revolution, will be the Cloud Chamber Studio Head. When talking about the new developer and BioShock, she noted, ā€œOur team believes in the beauty and strength of diversity, in both the makeup of the studio and the nature of its thinking. We are a deeply experienced group of game makers, including many responsible for BioShockā€™s principal creation, advancement and longstanding notoriety, and honored to be part of the 2K family as stewards of this iconic franchise.ā€

The next BioShock game is in development. BioShock: The Collection allows PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC owners to play BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite.
