Square Enix shared a new Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis trailer for the Before Crisis FFVII storyline. This confirmed the second of the three chapters will launch in-game on August 5, 2026. The shows interactions between that spin-off’s characters and a number of mainline cast members. However, it doesn’t include any major spoilers.
This second chapter of the Before Crisis FFVII story is called “Turks Offensive” and features the two original-to-this-entry characters Aphromia and Rodd working alongside Reno, Rude, and Tseng to deal with the threat to Shinra by the terrorist group Avalanche. Naturally, we see the antagonists Fuhito and Elfe featured prominently. However, we also see Aphromia meet people like Aerith, Tifa, and Yuffie. Elena’s older sister is still treated as the protagonist for these chapters.

Unfortunately, we don’t see in this new footage are reveals of additional members of the Turks from that installment. That game is not only where Cissnei, Aphromia, and Rodd first appeared. A number of their allies and teammates, who were “officially” known by their weapon type when Before Crisis was a mobile game, also showed up. We’ll have to wait and see if some additional members are introduced on August 5, 2026, or if Square Enix decided to scrap them due to the streamlined storyline.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is on PCs and mobile devices and the second Before Crisis FFVII chapter launches on August 5, 2026. Service will end on October 6, 2026.
