Next week on Japan’s virtual console: Air Zonk

After an extra month of waiting, Air Zonk is going to appear on Japan’s Virtual Console on May 22nd. Air Zonk is a five stage shoot ‘em up with where you fly a punk robot who bears a strong resemblance to Bonk. While there are power ups in Air Zonk you also amass an army of friends like Moo Moo a flying cow that shoots milk and SCUD a giant rocket to help you out. Kid Chameleon is another notable game because it was Sega’s attempt at making a platformer for older audiences. You collect different masks to transform into a samurai, a knight and a Friday the 13th inspired Maniaxe who throws axes. What made Kid Chameleon hard to complete was the lack of any save feature. The game is long unless you know where the warp areas are so check it out if you’re looking for a challenge.
