NieR Automata Anime Will Be Streaming on Crunchyroll (Update)

People worldwide will be able to watch the NieR Automata anime adaptation, as it will be streaming on Crunchyroll. Aniplex of America confirmed both it and The Misfit of Demon King Academy II: History’s Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants will appear on the subscription service. The Misfit of Demon King Academy II will appear on January 7, 2023. However, on December 15, 2022, Crunchyroll issued an update saying NieR Automata will appear in January 2023 and didn’t offer a set release date. This January launch window falls in line with the NieR Automata Ver1.1a January 2023 launch window already confirmed for Japan.

The Crunchyroll announcement also confirmed dubs for the show. Additional options will add Brazilian Portuguese, English; French, German, and Latin American voice acting.

This is the second major NieR Automata anime announcement to come up in December 2022. Earlier in the month, details about A2 appeared. Key art and a teaser trailer for the heroine appeared. It also confirmed that Ayaka Suwa will return to voice her. Suwa also played A2 in the game.

As for The Misfit of Demon King Academy II: History’s Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants, Aniplex also shared a new trailer for it.

People will find the NieR Automata anime adaptation Ver1.1a streaming on Crunchyroll starting in January 2023. The game is immediately available on various platforms like the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
