NieR: Automata Collaborates With Dragon Quest To Bring The Cypress Stick Weapon

Square Enix revealed the latest NieR: Automata collaboration at Jump Festa 2017, and this time it’s none other than one with Dragon Quest that brings the Cypress Stick as a weapon to the action RPG.

 

The above is a look at NieR: Automata’s Jump Festa 2017 trailer. It shows us bits and pieces of its story and action, another look at its Engine Blade collaboration weapon from Final Fantasy XV, and the Cypress Stick from Dragon Quest.

 

When using the Cypress Stick, it indicates damage using large numbers, and it also makes treasure boxes appear with a Dragon Quest style to them.

 

NieR: Automata releases in Japan on February 23, North America on March 7, and Europe on March 10, 2017 for PlayStation 4. The PC version will be available sometime in 2017. In case you missed it, here’s more about NieR: Automata’s PS4 support.
