The NieR series is having a concert and live talk show on April 16th, and Square Enix previously said that they’re going to share some new information on Nier: Automata. However, it’s been revealed in a Famitsu interview that we’ll get more than just new information at the event. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]
According to game designer Takahisa Taura, a live gameplay demo will be shown during the event.
“Of course the action of the game will be NieR-like, and I hope everyone gets to focus on the atmosphere that is unique to Yoko’s work in it,” said Taura. “There are parts with a good sense of light. Other parts might have backlight that depicts it being more difficult to see, so I believe that we’ll get to show parts that we don’t see often in games.”
Yoko Taro also added that they’ll show a bit of some event scenes in a new trailer, which he thinks will be quite impressive. Producer Yosuke Saito also mentioned that the video will be short but it’ll give viewers a better idea on what kind of character we’re seeing.
Nier: Automata is in development for PlayStation 4 and is expected to release sometime in 2016.
