In addition to the recently revealed Final Fantasy XV Engine Blade collaboration trailer, Square Enix provided some new screenshots via Famitsu for NieR: Automata, showing off its Woodland area.
A place that is abundant in nature, with a quiet river to go with the lush green forest. Deep in this area, you’ll find a giant old castle in ruins that has the lingering subtle scent of civilization. You’ll also come across remains of old living machines that once protected the castle.
The living machines that show up in this area are clad with armor with a Middle-Ages style. Together with their leader-like figure, this unique community of living machines spend their time training for fights and working on battle formations.
NieR: Automata releases in Japan on February 23, 2017 for PlayStation 4. North America and Europe will get the game for PS4 and PC sometime in early 2017.
