Square Enix announced that the worldwide shipment and digital sales of NieR: Automata, which recently celebrated its first anniversary, has surpassed 2.5 million. After the release of NieR: Automata in February 2017 the action RPG reached shipments and digital sales milestones of one million in April 2017, 1.5 million in May 2017, and two million in September 2017.
