Nippon Ichi’s upcoming PlayStation Vita game Night Watch is reminiscent to htol#NIQ: The Firefly Diary, and while it does feature a cute little girl as the protagonist, the game is a lot scarier than you’d expect.

The video starts out with details on the game’s story, and a bit on its gameplay on how you’ll find various items scattered throughout the town at night, and you’ll need to use them to work your way around the spooky monsters. Check our earlier report for more details on its gameplay.

Things take a spookier turn at the 1:20 mark, where it explains that the little girl will find shiny objects on the ground; however, not all shiny objects are good for you…

However, using your wits and items, you’ll figure ways around monsters so that you can continue to advance through the next area and eventually find the older sister and pet dog.

Night Watch will release in Japan on October 29, 2015 for PlayStation Vita. Here’s our earlier report for a closer look at some more of its spooky monsters.
