On one hand Quick time events (QTEs) make action packed moments which would otherwise be cutscenes playable. On the other I don’t want Ninja Blade to be Ninja Dragon’s Lair, a ninja game that’s entirely made of QTEs. From Software’s presentation movie attempts to demonstrate other elements of Ninja Blade like using ninjutsu to shock monsters, ninja vision to slow things down, and switching to a leg sickle for lethal coffee grinders. Even after seeing this video I still think that Ninja Blade’s memorable moments are going to be the awesome moves players do by activating quick time events.
