Nintendo announced two big tournaments for North America with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate North America Open 2019 and the Splatoon 2 North America Inkling Open 2019.

Both tournaments are open qualifiers leading up to a final event at the PAX East video game conference in Boston on March 30, 2019. There are multiple ways to play and participate, and players of all experience levels are welcome.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate North America Open 2019
Players from across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will face off online for a chance to win a trip to the Final Event at PAX East.
To participate, you must register for an Online Event in your region through the Battlefy website.
To see which region you’re in (Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, or Southeast), please view the regional map.
The competition is open to players 13 and older in the U.S. and Canada and 18 and older in Mexico. For more information, check out the official rules.
Online Event Dates
Online Events start at approximately 9 a.m. PT.
Check Battlefy for the specific time for your region.
The top player from each region’s Online Qualifier Final will advance to the Final Event.

Finals – Feb. 9

All three of the Online Quarter Finals will be live streamed. More details to be announced later.
Splatoon 2 North America Inkling Open 2019
Put together your team of four players and register to take part in this ink-slinging tournament!
Teams will get a chance to qualify in Turf War battles via online Ink Pools on February 10. The eight top teams will then splat it out during the Online Qualifier Finals on March 2.
The final four teams will win a trip to PAX East, where they’ll determine who will reign supreme as the winners of the Splatoon 2 North America Inkling Open 2019!

Online Registration Period
January 22 to February 10 at 9:00am PT – The team captain must register all four members (and one optional alternate) of the team online via Battlefy.com.
Ink Pools Online
February 10 – Starts at 9:00am PT and ends when the top eight teams have been determined.
Qualifiers Finals
March 2 – Starts at 9:00am PT and ends when the top four teams have been determined. Stay tuned to find out how to watch the livestream!
