Last month, there was a false alarm regarding Super NES Classic Edition pre-orders. Walmart had a listing up for half an hour on July 21, 2017, took a number of orders, and later canceled them all. Now, Nintendo has come forward to confirm that multiple retailers will have Super NES Classic Edition pre-orders in North America this month.

Nintendo does not specify exactly when Super NES Classic Edition pre-orders will go live. However, it does say they will be available late this month. This means people will need to be especially aware during the second half of August 2017. Various retailers will have pre-orders, though none are named. Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart are among the outlets that have had place-holder listings.

The number of available systems were also hinted at. Nintendo says a “significant amount” will be released on launch day. It also says more systems will be shipped to stores throughout 2017.

The Super NES Classic Edition will be available on September 29, 2017.
