Nintendo Cracking Down On Fire Emblem Heroes Cheaters

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Some players have been hacking Fire Emblem Heroes. As an example, you might enter the Arena and happen upon a match with someone who has four five star, +10 Sharenas, which is impossible since everyone only receives one Sharena upon starting the game. As a response to the cheating, Nintendo has issued an update in Fire Emblem Heroes 1.1.0. People who have hacked the game will receive a “To You” notification in the game and have several features of the game temporarily limited.

Details weren’t provided regarding the repercussions Fire Emblem Heroes hackers will receive. While there are still reports of hacked teams appearing in the Arena, it seems that those who are caught will become unranked and be unable to participate in the game’s social elements.

In addition to the preliminary response to Fire Emblem Heroes cheaters, Nintendo has alerted people to a bug in the updated version of the game. If people close the application during an Arena battle then return to it, they will not receive the deserved bonus for using the current featured heroes (Eirika, Ephraim, Seliph, Julia, Narcian, Odin, and Catria).

Fire Emblem Heroes is available for Apple iOS and Android devices.
