Nintendo Cuts Wii Price In Japan Too

image The price drop isn’t exclusive to North America. Nintendo of Japan sent out a press release announcing Japanese Wiis are 5,000 yen cheaper.

When the Wii launched in Japan it retailed for 25,000 yen ($274.17) without Wii Sports. You can get a Japanese Wii, still without Wii Sports, for 20,000 yen (around $220) now.
