Nintendo And Mercedes-Benz Get Together For A Slick Mario Kart 8 Collaboration

To commemorate the new compact SUV “GLA Class,” German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz have announced a collaboration with Nintendo as part of a promotional campaign in Japan. According to Famitsu, the “GLA kart” will also be added as a DLC to Mario Kart 8.   The above is a look at the GLA kart, which will be making its way towards the Mario circuits as a free download sometime this Summer. Nintendo will also host a special tournament with the GLA kart sometime this Fall.   Additionally, Mercedes-Benz Japan also shared a look at the humorous “Go! GLA” TV commercial featuring the SUV in Super Mario Bros., along with a live-action bit to go with it:     Mario Kart 8 will be released in North America and Europe on May 30, 2014 for Wii U.
